The Ablatherm® HIFU and Focal One® are both medical devices used to ablate (or destroy) prostate tissue with High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU). These two devices allow for a non-invasive local procedure performed in a single session and repeatable if necessary with few side effects. Focal One® is the latest device introduced on the market and the first one dedicated to the focal ablation of the prostate. It allows images from diagnostic tools (MRI, biopsies) to be merged with the real-time guiding image in order to only target the diseased area of the prostate without damaging the healthy surrounding tissue.
